Eric Smith is an EAS Master Beekeeper from Danville, Pennsylvania and is president of the Beekeepers of the Susquehanna Valley, the club which serves beekeepers across five counties in central PA. Eric’s particular interests lie at the intersection of beekeeping and technology, with a focus on the development of new tools for use in the beeyard. Eric has been working to breed treatment-free, Varroa-resistant bees for the past eleven years. When not keeping bees, Eric is Chief Technologist at FireOak Strategies, a boutique information security and knowledge management consultancy. Eric can be reached at eric@apisresearch.org.
At the April 20th meeting, I will present an introduction to the art and science of 3D printing and how it can be a useful addition to your woodworking shop. During this talk, we’ll focus on how 3D printing can help you to get ready for swarm and increase season. For more information about using 3D printing in your beekeeping operations, see the slides from my EAS 2022 talk here.
