Urban Beekeeping – Spring Session
A series of three classes held on March 29, April 25, and May 30. First class is held at St. James School with subsequent apiary days held at Awbury Arboretum and South Philadelphia.
Our 2026 basic Introduction to urban beekeeping class is presented in one lecture class and two apiary sessions starting in March 2026.

The price is $200 and includes all sessions.
Apiary sessions happen at either Awbury Arboretum (Germantown) or Anna Bee’s Honey’s apiary (South Philly).
Mead Making

Mead Making with Norris Childs
Mead is honey wine, made by fermenting honey in water. It’s one of the simplest fermented beverages, but it offers a wide range of flavors depending on ingredients and process.
This is a four part workshop. You only need to purchase one ticket! You don’t need a separate ticket for each class.


Woodenware Workshop
Getting Started with Bee Equipment with Eric Schoefer
A one day hands on class that gives you the basic skills you need to assemble and prepare wooden Langstroth hives for maximum durability along with demonstrations of basic beekeeping skills.
