If you can spare some time and energy, please sign up to volunteer using this link. The sign-up sheet is color-coded, and you can choose as many shifts as you’d like, ensuring you select only one shift of each color. We would greatly appreciate your assistance, particularly for the Open Hive talks and the extraction demos. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved!

Why Participate?

The Philadelphia Honey Festival serves two essential purposes. Firstly, it offers you, our esteemed Guild members, THE platform to sell your honey to eager festival-goers. Secondly, it is a powerful occasion to raise awareness about the vital role of honey bees in our environment, food supply, and economy. Together, we can promote urban beekeeping and gardening, fostering a sustainable future.

Sell Your Honey:

We are thrilled to offer you the chance to sell your local raw honey at Honey Fest! Our events this year have seen increased enthusiasm for locally-sourced honey, and we want to present a diverse range of Philadelphia honeys to our visitors.

Consigning Honey for Sale:

To ensure smooth coordination, please follow these steps to consign your honey for sale at Honey Fest:

  • Visit the “Honey Consignment Guidelines & Sign Up” page and carefully follow the instructions to sign up.
  • For those not using our honey kitchen, kindly file a simple application as a “Limited Food Establishment” with the state of Pennsylvania.

Use the Certified Honey Kitchen:

Good news! The Guild has a certified Honey Kitchen in partnership with Awbury Arboretum. This means you can legally extract and bottle your honey for sale without additional registrations. If you’re a Standard, Senior, or Lifetime member in good standing, you can register to use the Certified Honey Kitchen on the available dates. Not yet a member? You can join here .

Together, let’s make this year’s Philadelphia Honey Festival an outstanding success! Your involvement and support are truly appreciated. Sign up as a volunteer and consign your honey soon to guarantee a memorable event.

Thank you in advance for being a crucial part of this sweet celebration!
