Apparently a courageous three dozen or so beekeepers from PA have stepped up to their duty to provide DATA. We must all join these few, proud, committed bee heroes and provide our DATA as well! Onward to the pure land where even more than one third of our food is bee pollinated!

Delivered by Auburn University and the Apiary Inspectors of America, the 2023-2024 US Beekeeping Survey contributes to the long-term monitoring of honey bee colony losses and beekeeping practices in the country.

Long-term survey data are used by:

  • National beekeeping organizations to communicate about the state of the industry to the general public and policy makers.
  • Scientists to identify needs of the industry and to set research goals.
  • Extension Specialists to identify effective management practices that they should teach to beekeepers.
