Your bees are not that busy. What about you?

This winter thing is going to take some getting used to

We finally got some rain and we’ve gotten even more since then. No atmospheric river or anything but the fire risk has finally abated. Light up those smokers boys and girls!

This week we have a Fourth Tuesday bee chat – online only – join us to discuss what you’re doing now and what you might do next. We’re all looking for ideas we can steal, er, share.

  • The November Monthly meeting was fun with a small crowd at St. James and some folks online. Thanks to everyone who came and enjoyed pizza with us! If you’re a member you’ll be able to log in and see the meeting video here.
  • 2025 Classes are available for purchase. We are conducting a beginning and advanced class. You can buy a beginning hive kit with the intro class to have something hands on under the tree if you like.
  • On December 21 we will have our Winter Solstice Pot Luck! The Pot Luck will be an all purpose event this year. It will be the last class of the Long Course. In past years we’ve been able to do an oxalic treatment at this time of year with good success. We’ll also be returning any honey that we have on hand from sales efforts this year. We will contact you directly if we have any of your honey. Finally, we’ll have some sort of announcement about Guild officers and programs for next year.
  • The next (and possibly last) sales event of the year is the Awbury Winter Open House and Greens Sale. Please join us to sell honey or just enjoy the program.
