It’s time for Honey Festival 2020!

PHILADELPHIA BEEKEEPERS GUILD GOES VIRTUAL WITH MILESTONE 11TH PHILADELPHIA HONEY FESTIVAL

CELEBRATE NATIONAL HONEY MONTH ON LINE WITH BARTRAMS GARDEN, GLEN FOERD AND WYCK HISTORIC HOUSE

Philadelphia, PA – Philadelphia Honey Festival reinvents itself as a safe, COVID compliant virtual festival to celebrate all things honey during September, National Honey Month. The Philadelphia Beekeepers Guild continues to partner with Glen Foerd on the Delaware, Wyck Historic House, and Bartrams Garden for this revamped annual event. Presented in on-line format only, this virtual festival works to raise awareness about the importance of honey bees to the environment, the food supply, and the economy, and to celebrate urban beekeeping and gardening.

This virtual event will take place all month long to coincide with National Honey Month. While in-person live events are not possible, returning traditions like 1- Open Hive Talks, 2-Honey Extractions, and the ever-popular 3- Bee Beard will be streamed live on social medial.

Where and When:

The full month-long calendar of on-line events is published on the Philadelphia Honey Festival website and will be advertised on all social medial platforms including the Philadelphia Beekeepers Guild, Glen Foerd, Wyck House, and Bartrams Garden. Plan the events youd like to see, schedule a watch party with friends, and learn all about the honeybee.

How Can I Purchase my Honey?

The Philadelphia Honey Festival and the Philadelphia Beekeepers Guild (PBG) have opened an online shop for this years virtual event. Seven beekeepers are offering raw, local honey from across the city and the nearby counties. Purchases may be made at https://phillybeekeepers.square.site/. PBG apparel is also available.
