So you may have noticed that our membership options have changed a little.

Yes. Yes they have.

We’ve written a few e-mails about this but essentially we need to update our membership options to keep up with increased expenses and to expand our programs.

Right now – the first few weeks in April – the web site is launched but the new memberships are not in place yet.

If you really want to join the guild you can still do it here. Those are the old memberships at the old prices. If you’re already a member you can see your details at that link by logging in.

When we do get around to migrating from the old membership platform to this new one we will migrate everyone with a paid Household membership to the Hobbyist membership. The benefits of the Hobbyist level are roughly the same as the current Household membership. Your new membership will expire on the same date as your current membership.

If you are a Free Member you’ll migrate to the Bee Lover membership. Bee Lover gives you access to our online content and supports our mission. Your new membership will expire on the anniversary of when you signed up. So if you signed up on Sept. 15, 2015 your new membership will expire on Sept. 15, 2023. If you signed up on March 2, 2019 your new membership will expire on March 2, 2024. And so on.

When your membership expires you will be able to choose whether you want to sign up for a new membership. You can pick any level you want. The new memberships are 1 year subscriptions and you’ll be able to choose whether you want it to renew automatically or not.

If you’re a professional beekeeper and you want to take advantage of the services we’re offering to support your business you can upgrade your Hobbyist membership at any point.

When we create the new memberships we will assign you a username that will be ‘YourFirstName_YourLastName’. You will be able to sign in with your username or e-mail address. Use this form if you want a special username.

You can expect to get an e-mail by April 15th with your new membership information and links to your member profile and to set your password.
